What is psychosynthesis?

I provide a warm, safe and confidential space for you to share and express your feelings, thoughts, and difficulties in your life.

I support you in the areas of: anxiety/depression, self-esteem/confidence, balance in your life, personal development, problematic use of alcohol and drugs, anger management and the psychological side of Autism and Asperger’s, OCD, ADD, ADHD and more.

I specialise in providing a wide range of effective therapeutic techniques for children and adolescents, adults and families.

I am passionate about the work I do and I am committed in providing beneficial therapy for clients affected by mental health related issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and grief.

Solution focused therapy, CBT and Mindfulness are some of the therapies, that I would apply when working with clients.

My passion is supporting people to achieve, learn, and grow, by using mentoring, education, modelling, guidance, and advocacy. In working with clients both individually and in groups, my aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which fosters the development of emotional resilience, inner authority, and autonomy, and supports individual learning styles and preferences in addition to knowledge and skills. The name of my counselling business, Finding Balance, reflects my values and my approach to life.

I offer face to face counselling as well as online. I provide a calm, safe space for people to work through issues that are causing them difficulties.

I believe that sometimes we soar and other times we struggle, my aim is to work with whatever you bring into the room and I will do the best I can to help you move forward in a happier, healthier way.

Hi, my name is Colin, counsellor in Whangarei. I have over 30 years experience working with individuals (children, youth, adults), families and couples.

We all experience difficulties at times in our lives that cause us to struggle, lose hope and feel like our life is out of control. I believe it is possible to gain the strength needed to face our issues, the hope to move forward and the balance to feel in control of our lives again. Counselling can assist in helping you to overcome life’s hurdles in a positive way.
