Hello! I’m Kate. 

I have over 10 years experience as a counsellor, walking alongside individuals navigating life transitions, grief, parenting challenges and injury recovery. My approach emphasises self compassion, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection to improve overall wellbeing.

 
As a counsellor I hold non-judgemental space for people to explore their stories in a collaborative way. Different counsellors are trained differently.

I am a Solution Focused counsellor which means my approach is hope focused, sees you as the expert of your own life and aims to connect you with your own abilities and strengths to overcome challenges.

I also work with Self Compassion theories and practices which allow people to relate to themselves in a more understanding and self supportive way.

I am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and work in accordance with the NZAC Code of Ethics.
